TRAVIS WROTE BACK!!!

i may be making too much out of this but...i cant help it!

as many of you know i got in trouble with travis for mentioning that i don't know travis therefore i have to love him on faith as my brother. well after he chewed me out and i apologized semi-publicly i wrote him online and explained all my statements more fully. after christmas i decided to do something about our non-existent relationship. even if he never called to talk to me or anything i made a resolution to help him get to know me by writing weekly emails with pictures and stories from my childhood.

i've kept it up pretty well, only missing 3 weeks in a row ONCE. haha and this last week {as eventful as it was} was more than worthy of a super long e-mail. it was the longest one i think i've sent to him so far and it didn't include any pictures at all.

well.... i opened my gmail account yesterday and had to literally rub my eyes. i couldn't believe it. he wrote me back! after all this time of thinking i had the wrong email address cuz i got no reply. after so many emails....wow! i told katie and she was only slightly less surprised than i was...... and then i started crying. i was so grateful. and i was so glad i hadn't lost hope. i listened to the spirit urging for, "one more email...one more email," instead of listening to my own slowly breaking heart as it told me every time i clicked that send button, "why are you sending another one? its not like he'll reply to this one, either."

and it wasn't until today that i noticed the pictures he sent with the email. thank the lord for obsession. haha so here they all are, for everyones viewing pleasure.

LAKE POWELL!

our girl, cynthia

katie and i both work at the local high school. we are special needs teachers aides so we get to pretend to be teachers and keep the kids in line and busy and all that. well one of our favorite students is named cynthia roberts and she is a downs syndrome girl. only 15 years old, 4' 10" {approximately} and roughly 90 lbs shes very small. here are some of my favorite pics of her:

she was in the middle of eating a sloppy joe but loves being the center of attention so much that she smiled this incredibly cheesy grin before finishing the last bite she took. haha
she doesn't have very good sleeping patterns so she trys to get as much sleep in class as possible....thats our number one challenge throughout the course of the day...keeping cynthia awake! yesterday afternoon she just rolled up her sleeves and started flashing her "guns" out of no where! haha it was so funny i took pics and then made her do it again when katie came back into the room. shes so funny, she even kissed her arm at one point!

i love my job....but mostly the kids i get to be around all day. thank you, Lord for such an amazing blessing! <3tristen

SPRINTER IS HERE!!!

The one and only tulip to bloom {so far} popped its head out of the ground just yesterday. it sure brightens our yard. the first sign of spring, people!!!! im super stoked! and in the mean time i took this pic yesterday mornign at the high school track and football field. it was my first time experiencing anything like that so i had to capture it.

yes. thats ice on the grass. it took all the self control i possessed not to try and eat the ice.....just cuz im weird, you know. but seriously.

the tree

this is an ode to the tree in our backyard. its the one with the pretty white blossoms. trudi took this picture litteraly a day or two before it keeled over. what a happy, yet heartbreaking, accident. we miss it already.

the damage. the picture really speaks for itself. we heard nothing. had no clue what had happened. i took the trash out and turned around to go back inside and screamed, "oh no! what?-no!" according to the neighbors it happened tuesday...we didnt even see it till wednesday. dad says the roots are rotted and thats why it toppled over.

his tattoo

is a bio-hazard symbol....while in cedar for saturday conference i was messing around with him and gave his tattoo a makeover! lol heres the pic...

xbox madness!

ive never been one to play video games-it may be hard to believe coming from the family of game players that i did, but its the truth, i swear. the last few years, though ive been aching for a game system to play on those long, lonely nights when i really dont want to read and have to clean for lack of something to do. haha...well, i told jeremy all about that still ,small desire and he surprised me beyond my widest, rational dreams by telling me he had an xbox he never used and that he'd decided to give it to me! when he came to visit me a few weeks ago he presented it to me... i almost cried and katie almost peed herself! haha since that day we've spent a bit of time each afternoon or night on it. we each have a game we like to play....and a few games we've decided we need to buy soon. lol


so......heres the first pic taken of katie playing the football game jeremy gave me...called....madden '06?....i think thats what its called....idk. anyway. LOVE YOU GUYS!

This is Jeremy. He doesn't normally wear a cowboy hat...never, in fact. But he was playing around with his cousin and took it from him {he likes to tease like that}. He thought it would be funny to send me a picture of himself with it on....its one of my favorites bc hes just so handsome. lol


In this picture he was trying to show me the snow at his work site. He hates it {that explains the slight frown} but he knows I love the snow and I'm always concerned about him getting overworked and his body temperature....I know, I'm ridiculous....you don't have to tell me. I'm a natural worrier.



He sent this one to show me his glasses {he has like...three different pairs} and his freshly shaven head....{I tell him to grow it out, he freaks. but...the beard...I love it. And he doesn't really care SCORE ONE FOR TRISTEN! lol} anyway, hes also showing off how he looks in Sunday clothes. and i like it.




He sent me this picture after I'd already decided i liked him. I'm self-conscious about my chub and he's self-conscious about his "bulk", as he likes to call it. lol. weirdo!






This picture was taken by me {without his knowledge} in Hatch. Jeremy, Katie and I all took turns pushing the merry-go-round and it quickly became the merry-get-sick! We felt our stomachs wobbling for hours after those few short minutes.....I think we're all getting too old for it, I don't know.....

i have a whole album up of all the pics i have of him on myspace......heck i might just put em on here too if it comes to that. and, anamarie, he's 30 years old as of march 4th. as for taking things slow, i dont really have a choice, as he cant get baptized till 10/09 and we have to wait for another year after that for him to receive the mel. priesthood so a temple marraige is possible so....slow is very good right now. we dont even have any titles {i.e. boyfriend, fiance, ect}. ive still got a lot to learn before i get a ring put on my finger, anyway, you know? lol love you guys!

jeremy and me

ok...theres a whole lot to tell so i better jump right in. i started talking to a guy i met on ldssingles.com in january named jeremy. he has had quite a life and the more i got to know him the more i respected the experiences hes had and the trials he has gone through. he has changed his life for the better and i love him for his tenacity and his determination to make lemonade out of the tons of lemons life gave him. the was he tells it, it was all just a bunch of lemon juice until i came into his life and added all the sugar. haha hes awesome and i decided it was time to let everyone know so here is a link to my myspace page where you all can see pictures of him. on my blogs page there are poems he's written for me and {semi} detailed accounts of our relationship so far. thanks for reading this and please feel free to comment and tell me what you think. {i already know im crazy so dont worry about adding that bit in! lol}
