The last week of January I did not work out or follow as strict a diet as I had been. Why? Two reasons: my lungs were so filled with phlem I felt like a life long smoker when ever I tried any kind of physical activity, AND chicken noodle soup is stunningly high in calories.
So last week I started fresh, feeling as though I had let my body go, which is saying something, believe me. Previously I'd been able to work out for approximately an hour with a few water and "catch my breath" breaks. But Monday I could hardly get through the warm up before ducking out and nearly passing out. I was (and am) still sick but the coating of thick nasty in my lungs was considerably less and therefore I assumed I was out of the woods. Not so, however. So it took me another two workouts to get my longevity back. But I'm back!
Measurements soon to follow
Weigh in for 2/4/11:
248 lbs
That's a whole ten lbs lost. Exceeding my goal for 2 lbs a week, for sure! I'm stoked, obviously.
So here comes the other good news. We've decide after workouts 3 times a week, to go jogging/speed walking. Yeah, its freezing. Yeah, there's still snow on the ground. Yeah, we usually work out at night. But I'm excited for the possibility of working up enough of a sweat that I don't notice any of these things.
I love you all and hope those who are trying to better themselves and change their life styles have the best of luck and the strongest of determinations!
