anamarie came and visited us again when she was in town for miles' doctor appointment and us girls had another fun filled hour with anamarie, jorgi and miles.

the first pic is one of miles and trudi that needs a disclaimer. he was not drunk when this photo was taken. don't let anyone tell you any different.

the second pic is one of miles while katie blew in his face. we love doing that to babies.

the third pic is a well aimed shot {if you'll allow me to compliment myself for a second} of miles' feet. he wouldn't keep his shoes on, so anamarie used her genius and put mittens on his feet. he kept those on...don't try to figure out why, either. it just causes more problems.

the fourth pic is one of katie going at miles, and the fifth one is of miles' reaction to katie. i tried to warn you about how much we adore those kids but you probably thought i was joking, huh? yeah- no one takes me seriously, don't sweat it.

and finally, the sixth pic is a beautiful shot of katie and jorgi while jorgi expertly ruins the pic by sneaking a peek at what trudi and miles are doing.

The Cut

this was with out makeup and clean hair, you can see how short it is. Right below my chin.

The first weekend in December was a fun one! Mom, Dad, Tyler and Anamarie came through town to go to an ACN meeting and we at the cedar house were able to baby sit the 2 youngest of their kids for 3 whole days.

They were with us by Thursday afternoon and we didn't give 'em back until Sunday afternoon. Jorgie didn't sleep at all the first night and Katie was the one who got to stay up with her most of the night. Because of that she couldn't really function the next morning so Katie called in sick from work and she watched them Friday morning and afternoon until Trudi and I came home from work. It was an optimistic undertaking from the very start and we are glad to report that it stayed that way. We had extra out-of-state bonding time with them and that's more important than how they behaved for us, how much sleep we lost because of their presence or how many times we put them in the corner or lectured them. {yes, we lecture. Katie lectures the baby and i lecture Jorgie and Trudi just loved miles to death! or, should i say, to illness....? shes been sick with colds and runny noses ever since! nonstop....seriously. haha}

These are a couple of the pics we were able to get during the visit. It snowed for hours one night so the next morning we were able to have a snowball fight and teach Jorgie which snow is safe to eat and which snow you just walk away from {or throw at others}. And Trudi, as she is in love with Miles, took some pics of him just sittin' in his play pen and ignoring his runny nose.

All in all, we LOVE those kids!!!! Thanks for the opportunity, guys!

Just in case you didn't know...

In case all of you didn't know I (Katie) cut all my long...red...curly hair off. If you can't tell I kind of miss it. All in all I absolutely adore my new hair though. My hair was all the way down the middle of my back, naturally wavy. Something Trudi liked to call mermaid hair. Anyway it is now just barely touching my shoulders and in a slight A line/Bob thing...I love it!! Just thought I would let you know. It was tramatizing. but I'm happy!!
