I was sick yesterday with some kind of food poisoning. I didn't eat much til Katie made me drink this homemade electrolite concoction that included sugar, salt and a liter of warm water. After that I was ravenous. But I didn't work out bc of my queasy stomach. Today however I'm feeling great. I've already done one workout and plan at least two more.
Due to yesterdays stomach nonsense my weigh in is 241lbs. Measurements are as follows:
Head: 24 1/2in
Bust: 46 3/4in
Ribs: 40 1/2in
Stomach: 49in
Hips: 53 1/2in
Thigh: 28 1/2in
Upper arm: 17 1/2in
I think I need a bike. That kind of cardio and strength is what I'm itching for most. Well, that and a track but I know when to call it quits on *that front. :J
Here's to hoping something changes drastically. Cheers.

Picking Up Where I Left Off...
Hello, all. I had a VERY rough February-May as I was socially incapacitated in planning Katie's wedding. Yes, I said May and it is now June. The days and months are right, don't second guess your internal clock or calender, whichever the case may be. It has been a beautiful spring and I felt I deserved a few weeks off from the world. A few weeks turned in to a couple months, true, but the point is I'm back in action and ready to prove all is well. SO, let's get this started, shall we?
I signed myself on for a friendly competition called "Little Biggest Loser." It was put together by a new friend of mine named Drew Bingham. He decided to completely reshape his lifestyle, get in shape and take it a step further by making it his number one priority. However, because change of this nature can be very difficult, he decided to make it a group effort. We all see the need for reform in the way we eat, live and treat our bodies. And with the help of the Little Biggest Loser (LBL) competition, we know we're not going through such drastic changes alone. There is a simple point system and each individual is part of a group of four-five people that they can immediately consider to be their support system.
The competition goes from June 1st to December 1st; a full six months.
My measurements stand thusly:
head: 25 in
bust: 47 in
under bust (ribs): 39 in
upper arms: 16 in
stomach: 51 in
hips: 52 1/2 in
thighs: 27 in
weight: 247 lbs.
I have been pretty disappointed in my progress but I have to keep reminding myself it's only been two weeks and this is the kind of change that I need to work myself into. I'm done sitting on the sidelines however. I haven't been working out nearly as much as I could. I think it's taken me this long to plateau, oddly enough. I lost more weight than I expected before the wedding, and the fact that I was able to keep a majority of it off during the hectic period that followed the wedding simply astonished me. So, since I haven't lost anything and actually gained three lbs in the last month, I know I need to step up my game, and shake things up.
I'll keep things up and keep you all posted.
And for those of you who'd like more information about LBL, here's a link to Drew's blog. Enjoy!
